TCO Night Market
TCO’s Night Market, hosted during the Spring semester, is an annual event featuring Taiwanese food and games. Night markets are found all over Taiwan and this event shares their unique and energetic atmosphere with the Wellesley community. We’ll be serving a wide variety of dishes, and will have other booths with games, entertainment, vendors, and cultural immersions typically found at a Night Market.
Food, games and student vendors will be available in a circuit of booths, each with its own banner and group of volunteers to facilitate. Popular Taiwanese music will be playing throughout the night to mimic the Night Market atmosphere. In addition, we will also offer an educational area with maps and pamphlets called “passports” about Taiwan where students can answer trivia questions and get to know Taiwan in detail. Night Market is one of the largest events hosted by the Taiwanese Cultural Organization, and has been very well-attended in the past, with approximately 500 attendees each year.
