Published:A Rottweiler was rescued from Lake Waban in Wellesley on Saturday morning after it got away from its owner, chased a group of geese into the water, and began having trouble swimming, police said. Two Wellesley College boats went into the water to rescue the dog, and eventually the dog was reunited with its family and was not injured, police said. “The geese managed to elude the Rottweiler without incident,” police said.
