Marino Kato
Language Assistant in Japanese
I graduated from Meiji Gakuin University in 2016 with a degree in Art Studies. My experience as an administrator for theater, dance performances, and exhibitions often involved educational programs aimed at engaging the public and I interacted with people of various ages and backgrounds. Teaching Japanese and sharing my culture in the U.S. feels like a natural extension of this work, as language is an essential part of cultural expression. This connection between art and education led me to Wellesley College, where I am proud to serve as a Japanese Language Assistant through a scholarship from the Alliance for Language Learning and Education Exchange(ALLEX Foundation).
I enjoy spending time at museums, theaters, parks and exploring new cultures.
