Wellesley College's 14th President, Paula A. Johnson orders a sandwich in the student-run cafe, El Table

As Wellesley’s 14th president, and the first African-American to hold this role, President Paula Johnson is deeply committed to assuring that all women have the opportunity to thrive. A pioneering leader in women’s health, she was a professor at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she led research to meet the unique and unrecognized health needs of women. This same visionary spirit now infuses her work at Wellesley, as we prepare the next generation of women to make a difference in the world.
