French House (or La Maison Française, for those in the know), where only French is spoken! The Japanese corridor, where only Japanese is spoken! A hall named for Katharine Lee Bates, class of 1880, author of the poem “America the Beautiful!” Every hall has a cheer and a House Council! Cookies! Cookouts! Close community! (Translation: a residential experience that hugs you back.)
