The first time I visited Wellesley, it was as though the future beckoned from the past into the present, whispering its wisdom; I knew immediately Wellesley was the place for me. Wellesley speaks to my spirit, or, strangely, it feels as though my spirit is preserved in the space, in its evocative essence, its pure presence. Wellesley has and continues to subtly shape the winding pathways of my life: through the meadows, around the lake, in the continuous cycles of learning and teaching, action and reflection.
Only to be there is to reencounter the familiar, to encounter the unfamiliar, to glimpse back into the past, to glimpse forward into the future, to see friendly faces and lovely landscapes transformed and yet unchanged by time and space, to expand one’s sense of possibility, to answer to her every call
