Clothes Closet

Donations of clothing, footwear and accessories from Wellesley College alumnae and friends in the surrounding communities are our main source of clothing for the Closet. If you are cleaning out closets or downsizing, please consider donating your clean, gently-used clothing to the WSAS Closet!

Clothing may be dropped off at our loading dock accessible via the small parking lot next to Schneider Center. Donations may also be mailed to us at WSAS Clothes Closet, 106 Central St., Schneider Ctr. 117, Wellesley, MA 02481.

*Please note: Drop-off donations will not be accepted during the periods our student assistants are not on campus - December 15 through January 31 and May 15 through August 31.

The WSAS Clothes Closet is always in need of winter items - coats, boots, gloves, hats, scarves and sweaters - as well as professional clothing, leisure wear, and just plain comfort clothing.

We now have an option to purchase items for the WSAS Clothes Closet directly through Amazon.com. We have developed an Amazon.com “Wish List” for items in need. Donors may view the list and purchase items which are directly shipped to the Clothes Closet.

Cash donations are also accepted using the WSAS Donations page and selecting the WSAS Clothes Closet Fund. This fund was established by WSAS to purchase high-demand items for the Clothes Closet.

Residential Resource Closet

The Residential Resource Closet (located right next to the Clothes Closet) provides students with new personal care items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, shower gel, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products. WSAS is seeking donations of new, unopened personal care items. Items may be dropped off at our Schneider Center loading dock which is accessible via the small parking lot on the lake side of the building.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Donations to the Clothes Closet and Residential Resource Closet may be tax-deductible depending on how you file your taxes. WSAS provides a donation form where you can record your donation and save it for tax purposes. (WSAS does not need to verify your donation form - keep it for your records.)
