Wellesley College Botanic Gardens (WCBG) serves the Wellesley college campus and broader community as a public garden on the campus of a historically women's private college. Started in 1925, WCBG is a robust educational resource with thousands of diverse plant species across 22 acres of outdoor gardens, a state-of-the-art Global Flora Conservatory, and a welcoming visitor center, within the College campus. Modeling sustainable design, with our award-winning Global Flora conservatory, and innovation, with our Edible Ecosystem teaching garden, students and visitors of all ages can find inspiring ways to connect with plants, aquatic life, and the environment. We welcome visitors with free admission and student-led guided tours, offered regularly during open hours.
