2025-2026 Cost of Attendance

Wellesley’s tuition and fees are evaluated every year and adjusted to ensure academic excellence and enable us to meet the evolving needs of our community.

The Cost of Attendance takes into consideration both direct and indirect costs to students and families for one year of enrollment, which includes the fall and spring semesters.

Direct costs include tuition, housing and meals, and the student activity fee for one year of enrollment at Wellesley. These direct costs are also known as the Comprehensive Fee and are billed directly to the student. Indirect costs include travel to and from campus, books, personal expenses, and health insurance for one year of enrollment. It is important to note that indirect costs vary from student to student, and these costs are either waivable or not billed to the student.

The state of Massachusetts requires that all college students in Massachusetts have health insurance. For students who may not have a health insurance plan that meets the state's minimum requirements, Wellesley offers a Student Health Insurance Plan. Wellesley will bill all students the health insurance fee, which can then be waived by students who have health insurance coverage meeting the state's standards.

Approximately 50% of Wellesley students waive the health insurance fee.

For a student enrolled in the College's Student Health Insurance Plan, the fee is added to the student's total cost of attendance. Health insurance grants are available for those with the highest need.

Wellesley may be more affordable than you think.
