Buildings and Grounds

In this historic yet up-to-date setting, Child Study Center staff like to think of the environment as one of our children’s most important teachers. As such, our classrooms and playgrounds are intentionally designed to meet children where they are developmentally and to promote age-appropriate exploration and play. We think of our playgrounds as “outdoor classrooms” and try to spend as much time outside as possible. We have created a slideshow of our building and grounds with typical curriculum setups. We hope these images give you a true sense of who we are, our focus on incorporating natural elements into the child's day, our expertise in the field of early childhood development, and our deep understanding of the social, physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds. Most importantly, we hope these images convey that children are our most treasured guests!
