Our Community Will Come Together for a Vigil in the Wake of Violence Tonight at the Multifaith Center

July 11, 2016
Our community will come together for a vigil in the wake of violence at 6 PM tonight at the Multifaith Center.

Tonight the Wellesley College community will gather for a vigil in the wake of last week’s tragic events, as we mourn the senseless loss of the lives of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, Lorne Ahrens, Michael Krol, Michael Smith, Brent Thompson, and Patrick Zamarripa, and as we stand in solidarity with all those impacted by racism and violence.

President Paula Johnson addressed the Wellesley community earlier today, calling for the community to stand together in condemning violence and bigotry, and fostering trust and understanding.

The vigil will take place at 6:00 PM at the Multifaith Center in the lower level of Houghton Chapel.
