Wellesley and Babson Students Join Forces to Stand Against Hate
Wellesley students gathered on campus on Wednesday, November 16 to march into the heart of the town of Wellesley. In an invitation to faculty and staff, they invited the wider community to “walk in solidarity with students to take a stand against hate rhetoric and hate crimes.”
At the same time, students at Babson College were doing the same. Carrying homemade signs and, in Babson’s case, a banner of support signed by hundreds of students, the two groups of students and allies met in the middle of the two colleges at Morton Park. There, speakers from both colleges rallied those gathered to stand together for peace and justice on and off their respective campuses.
Said Terrace Clark ’17 of Harambee House, “This is about our community, and fighting for love against hate.”
