Three Wellesley alumnae are competing in the America’s Got Talent semifinals with the Los Angeles-based Angel City Chorale, which performs gospel, pop, classical, and world music in multiple languages. The alumnae were all members of Wellesley vocal ensembles: Kathy Julie (Sloan) Jackson ’69 was in the Wellesley College Tupelos, Cheryl Pope Handel ’72 was in the Wellesley College Choir, and Carol Head ’76 was in the Wellesley Widows.

All three alumnae were drawn to Angel City Chorale because of its message of inclusivity, diversity in music and singers, and commitment to social outreach.

The semifinal airs on Tuesday, September 11, at 8 pm EST. Those interested in supporting our talented alums can vote by either logging in at AGT.com or downloading the America’s Got Talent app.
