Dolores Arredondo ’95, from protecting democracy to guiding Wellesley
- Alumnae
Childhood in East Los Angeles, the first in her family to go to college. At Wellesley, two majors: psychology and Latin American studies. Then, on to her M.B.A. Now she’s the senior vice president and head of marketing strategy for City National Bank. Her passions outside of work? First: protecting democracy. She served on the advisory board for Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE), a nonprofit that champions political and economic parity for Latinas. Of this work, she says: “What I want to share with young people…is that America doesn’t belong to one party. America doesn’t belong to one candidate. America belongs to the people.” Now she’s back at Wellesley, serving on the Board of Trustees—helping Wellesley bring success to the next generation!
