Dolores Arredondo, protecting democracy

  • Alumnae

Childhood in East Los Angeles, the first in her family to go to college. At Wellesley, two majors–psychology and Latin American studies. Then, on to her M.B.A. Now she’s the Senior Vice President for Business-to-Consumer Marketing for City National Bank. Her passion outside of work? Protecting democracy. She serves on the advisory board for Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE). It’s a nonprofit that champions political and economic parity for Latinas. Of this work, she says: “What I want to share with young people…is that America doesn’t belong to one party. America doesn’t belong to one candidate. America belongs to the people.” Class of 1995.
