Wellesley shaped me through deep friendships, academic rigor, and moments of self-discovery that laid the foundation for the physician I have become.
When I started my hematology & oncology fellowship, I discovered that the chief fellow arranging our schedules was Lindsey Hildebrand ’11. In true Wellesley fashion, she assigned me to none other than Lauren Oshry ’82, also a proud member of the purple class. Lauren is an exceptional breast oncologist who has practiced for over 30 years, caring for thousands of underserved patients with unwavering compassion and clinical brilliance.
From our first day working together, Lauren became more than a mentor. Her ability to intuit what each patient needs, her fierce advocacy, and her deeply human approach to care is unmatched. Lauren embodies everything I admire about Wellesley: wisdom, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to lifting others up. Our Wellesley connection created an instant bond and now a lifelong friendship.
