A woman stands, smiling at the camera, dressed in white with yellow gloves, yellow hankie around her neck, yellow leis, a yellow scarf around her hips and a yellow hairband. She wears a Wellesley visor.

When I was preparing to tour colleges, my dad had a former colleague whose daughter was a Wellesley student and seemed to like the school. So at the last minute my dad asked me to add Wellesley to my list of schools to visit. When we arrived, it was a glorious, sunny late summer day and the campus was awash in color. I fell in love immediately, completely unaware that I would endure many days of cold rain, ice, and mud during the ensuing four years. Although the beautiful campus is what lured me to Wellesley, the academics and lifelong friendships have kept me connected to Wellesley for the last 46 years.
