When my husband decided to come to Boston University for five years of residency in dermatology, after several years of practice in New Jersey, I decided if he went back to study, why shouldn’t I? As a graduate, I was allowed to audit many courses for free. I was a member of the class of 1954 and like most of my classmates, I majored in English. Boring! So I decided to audit any art or music course I could. Oh! Peter Ferguson! Oh! Owen Jander! Four more years of college, this exposure to art in particular led me to help establish the Wellesley College Friends of Art and push Wellesley to build a new museum: The Davis. These two organizations played a huge part in my post college years. And oh! The number of new lifetime friends I made.
