A third generation connected to Wellesley. As a young man in the early 1920s, my grandfather worked construction on the building which now houses Shake Shack in the “Ville.” He was always impressed by those “Wellesley girls. “Grandpa,” I would say to him, “It is Wellesley women, not girls.” He was extremely proud that his granddaughter attended Wellesley College. Fast forward to 2025, and now his great-granddaughter, Amanda, my daughter, continues this tradition as a member of the class of 2029. I think my Grandpa is smiling from ear to ear in heaven.
