How do I set up two-factor authentication (2FA) on my account?
What is the Duo two-factor authentication (2FA) and why is it required for my Wellesley Login?
For several years, Wellesley has required all students and employees to use two-factor authentication (2FA) to log in to college systems. This remains the most effective defense against hackers attempting to steal personal information. The principle is straightforward: you log in using something you know (your password) and something you have (your phone).
Before 2025, we did not require 2FA for alumnae, understanding that infrequent logins can make additional steps feel burdensome. However, with the recent surge in sophisticated phishing attempts targeting accounts, including those of several alumnae, it is now essential to enable Duo 2FA for alumnae to safeguard your information. Thank you for helping us protect your information and keep our systems secure.
What if my account is disabled/locked?
Please contact the Computing Help Desk at 781-283-7777 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ET), Monday - Friday.
