Career Education Graduate School and Career Preparation Fund

Wellesley College Career Education is pleased to offer this new opportunity for employer partners to fund diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) programming that support our low-income, first-generation, and BIPOC students while strengthening and further diversifying the employee pipeline. Wellesley is committed to placing inclusive excellence at the center of the College experience and empowering all graduates to be a force for change in the world. We invite employers to join us to ensure that all of our graduates have equal opportunity to excel in graduate school and careers.

An annual gift to the Career Education Graduate School and Career Preparation Fund will provide flexible support to allow Career Education to meet the specific needs of low-income, first-generation, and BIPOC students as they engage in summer internships, explore graduate school opportunities, and undertake the testing and application processes. Your company's Preparation Fund gift will be used to support students’ most pressing post-graduate planning and exploration needs during the academic year, helping to set them up for success in graduate schools and careers, further ensuring that your future workforce reflects the true diversity of today’s global economy. With your support, Career Education will award small grants to students to fund such items as:

  • a graduate school test preparation course;
  • graduate school test registration fees;
  • travel for graduate school interviews;
  • career exploration travel;
  • graduate school application fees;
  • supplemental internship funding to make summer internships more accessible for high-need students;
  • other emerging needs as identified by Wellesley students.

Career Education will share details on the use of the Career Education Graduate School and Career Preparation Gift at the end of the academic year, highlighting the impact of your company's generosity on individual Wellesley students.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our students and create a lasting imprint on the future workforce. We hope that you will join us.
