Applying to health professions schools can be a long and complex process. Wellesley College Health Professions Advising (HPA) would like to provide you with the support and resources you need to make your application strong and your experience positive.

Supports a two-year master’s degree in any field at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), but Economics is especially encouraged. Eligible are graduating seniors at Wellesley who are US citizens. Campus application deadline typically in November.

This resource will give you an overview of the career opportunities available if you want to pursue a job in a college or university setting. There are two basic career pathways in Higher Education — academic affairs and student affairs.

If you are placed on a waitlist, do not give up hope. Students may be accepted from the waitlist at any time up until the first day of class, depending on the policy of the individual school. Many Wellesley students have successfully entered health professions schools off of waitlists. However, begin alternative planning in case you are not accepted off of the waitlist.

Gaining admission to health professions schools and identifying funding sources to finance professional school education can be challenging for undocumented immigrants/DACA students and alumnae. But resources do exist to help applicants.

The Yenching Academy of Peking University builds bridges between China and the rest of the world through an interdisciplinary master’s program in China Studies for outstanding graduates from all over the globe. This initiative brings together young people who show promise to lead and innovate in their fields in an intensive learning environment where they can explore China and its role in the world — past, present, and future. The Academy aims to thereby shape a new generation of global citizens with a nuanced understanding of China and its role in the world.

The McCall MacBain Scholarships seek to bring together exceptional students from around the world who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles. McCall MacBain Scholars connect with mentors and participate in an interdisciplinary leadership program while pursuing a fully funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University!
