Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Congressional Internship Program - direct application deadline

Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or individuals who are lawfully authorized to work full-time without restriction for any U.S. employer and who, at the time of application, possess lawful evidence of employment authorization. International students on F-1 or M-1 visas are not eligible for CHCI programs. Individuals who are seeking consideration under the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival” (DACA) policy must be eligible to work and possess valid employment authorization at the time of acceptance, and must maintain continuous lawful employment authorization for the duration of the program for which the person is applying. Preference is given to those with financial need.

Undergraduate, Service, Internship

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Congressional Internship Program (CIP) provides promising Latinx undergraduates of any major a paid placement in a congressional office for a period of 10 weeks in the summer. The program includes payment of $3,125 (Summer), as well as domestic round-trip transportation to DC, all expenses covered housing, academic credit, leadership training, networking and professional development opportunities, and more!

Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program - campus application deadline

Eligible: First Generation and Low-Income, or Underrepresented ALANA* (African American, Latinx, Alaska Native, Native American, Pacific Islander), who are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents, majoring in a STEM discipline, with a strong desire to pursue doctorate education (PhD, EdD, etc), and 2.8 GPA or higher.

Research/Gradschool, Undergraduate

The McNair Scholars Program is a federal TRIO program funded at 187 institutions across the United States and Puerto Rico by the U.S. Department of Education. McNair participants are either first-generation college students with financial need, or members of a group that is traditionally underrepresented in graduate education and have demonstrated strong academic potential. The goal of the McNair Scholars Program is to increase graduate education for students from underrepresented groups.  At Wellesley, the McNair Scholars Program is STEM focused.
