Virtual Office Hours

The Davis Museum invites Wellesley College students to meet one-on-one with staff over Zoom. Schedule a virtual appointment to discuss objects in the collection, employment and volunteer opportunities at the Davis, career paths in the arts, or broader issues within the museum sector.  

Please schedule appointments at least twelve hours in advance, using the links below. Alternative meeting times are available upon request by contacting individual staff members directly. If you are not sure which staff member is appropriate for your interests, or if you have a general inquiry about the Davis, please email Alicia LaTores, alatores@wellesley.edu.    

 

Lisa Fischman, Ruth Gordon Shapiro ’37 Director

Lisa has been director of the Davis Museum since 2010. She is responsible for leadership, vision, and implementation across all areas of Davis operations. A specialist in contemporary art, she is particularly interested in museum history and practice, collecting, museum ethics, decolonization, and DEAI initiatives.

Mark Beeman, Manager of Exhibitions and Collections Preparation

Mark is responsible for the project management, planning, installation, and daily maintenance of all exhibitions. He also oversees the art handling, preparation, and display of all artwork within the Davis, including the coordination of conservation treatments with conservators in private practice. 

Nicole Berlin, Assistant Curator of Collections

Nicole participates in an active schedule of collections-based installations and temporary exhibitions, programs, and teaching. As a specialist in Greco-Roman art and archaeology, she works particularly closely with ancient Mediterranean artworks. 

Helen Connor, Assistant Registrar for Exhibitions and Digital Resources

Helen coordinates loan logistics for incoming exhibitions, oversees rights and reproductions for image requests, coordinates collection photography, and manages the Davis's social media outreach.

Amanda Gilvin, Sonja Novak Koerner '51 Senior Curator of Collections and Assistant Director of Curatorial Affairs

Amanda works with Davis colleagues and faculty, staff, and students from across campus on planning, creating, and programming curatorial and educational projects at the Davis. Her own curatorial projects focus on African and African Diasporic arts. 

Sarina Khan Reddy, Technology & Media Specialist

Sarina researches and implements innovative technology to increase access and understanding of the collections, including the Davis Museum’s website, mobile application, virtual exhibitions, AR, YouTube channel, and video installations. She is also a studio artist working in video, photo, and installation, conceptually examining histories of British India / Colonialism and exploring the differences within her cultural identity as an Islamic-American woman. 

Alicia LaTores, Friends of Art Curatorial Research Associate

Alicia researches and writes on the Davis Museum's permanent collections, assists scholars with research inquiries, and works on curatorial projects for both special exhibitions and the permanent collections. She also designs and manages the production of gallery didactics, including all wall labels.

Bo Mompho, Collections Manager and Head Registrar

Bo is responsible for the care and management of the Davis Museum’s collection, implementing policies and procedures that adhere to professional standards and best practices. She serves as the collections database manager and is an integral member of the facilities and risk management teams.

James Oles, Adjunct Curator of Latin American Art 
James holds a dual appointment in the Art Department and the Davis Museum, where he focuses on acquisitions and exhibitions of Latin American and Latinx art. He will resume holding office hours in spring 2021.
