Sample MAS Major Tracks
Flexibility has been built into the major to allow students to adapt their course of study to their interests. Students can choose a balanced track or can concentrate in either Media Arts, by adding two more art/music core courses, or in Media Sciences by adding two more computer science core courses.

Note: Double majors may skip the one required arts course in the ARTH major. The required arts course is fulfilled through the MAS major requirements. Thus, double-majors graduate with a nine unit ARTH major (instead of ten units) and a twelve unit MAS major. Double majors must still fulfill all the Art History department's other major distribution requirements, such as taking classes from the different geographical and temporal categories.
