Summer Opportunities

Summer Geoscience Opportunities

This page is meant to compile a list of resources for current students. For more resources on post-Wellesley careers, check out our Internships & Careers page.

Document Formatting:

This document is organized into sections by the “type” of internship each opportunity is: Research, Government, Conservation, Policy & Science Writing, Education, Field Camps, Museums (obviously there will be some overlap).

A ‘ * ’ by the internship name indicates if an internship is unpaid.

Quite a few of these opportunities are paid for through grants from the U.S. Government. Unfortunately, this means some (but not all) of them are limited to U.S. citizens, and you’ll need to check their websites to determine eligibility.

Many applications open in early December / late November, and deadlines usually happen from the beginning of January to the beginning of March. It is recommended you ask for rec letters from your professors prior to winter break (for your sanity and theirs).
