Roberta Schotka is the Director of Programs at the PLTC and she coordinates the ASC program. She holds an Ed.M in instructional media & technology from Boston University and a B.S. in Elementary education from Boston State College. She has extensive experience developing and directing tutoring programs, academic support services, student retention initiatives, and first-year experience courses at both the university and community college level. She is a member of the Learning Assistance Association of New England (LAANE), the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), the National Association of Developmental Education (NADE), and is a steering committee member of the New England Peer Tutor Association (NEPTA). Roberta was national co-chair for the 2008 NADE conference, and is currently a reviewer for the CRLA’s International Tutor Program Certification and the NADE certification program. She has presented at numerous regional and national conferences.

Sarah Wall-Randell (she/her) is the Faculty Director of the PLTC. She is also an associate professor in the English department and the co-director of the Program in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She graduated from Wellesley in 1997 and subsequently earned an M.Phil. at Oxford University and a Ph.D. at Harvard. Professor Wall-Randell coordinates workshops related to teaching run by or in collaboration with the PLTC, and supports the College and its faculty in the exploration of innovative, inclusive, and effective instructional strategies to best serve Wellesley students, and in balancing teaching, research, and life. 

Jessica Washak serves as the Program Coordinator for the Pforzheimer Learning & Teaching Center (PLTC). Preceding her current role with the PLTC, she gained experience by providing joint administrative support to both the PLTC and Accessibility and Disability Resources. She is especially interested in student-centered and accessible practices in academic support and assisting students to navigate a highly-engaged and rigorous college experience. Washak has an educational background in literature, gender studies, and composition. Before moving to New England for graduate school at Rhode Island College, she received her bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Oswego.
