Erin Olson

Paulson Initiative Intern

My name is Erin Olson, and I am a potential philosophy major in the class of 2023. Raised in rural Idaho, I have always been passionate about nature and exploring my surroundings from the mountains and forests I grew up in to the beautiful community and environment at Wellesley. In my spare time, I love to hike, read, bake, and chat with family and friends. At home, I also enjoy spending time at my community farm, playing with farm animals and my dog, and at Wellesley, I love walking around the lake and visiting the botanical gardens. I joined the Paulson Initiative because I want to reflect on my place in our ecological community and continue celebrating and connecting with nature and our environment. I believe that it is important to address and constantly improve our relationship with the land and space we occupy as humans to be better stewards and community members to the lives we share it with. I am thrilled to be part of the conversation surrounding the environment that makes up the many places we call home and hope to encourage others to be active in that conversation as well.
