Chemistry Research Interest Form

Chemistry Research Intent Form

All students who are interested in starting research with a faculty member in the Chemistry Department during the academic year should complete the Chemistry Research Interest Form. While this form is always open, it is best to submit responses by December 1 if you are interested in performing research during the Spring Semester and by May 1 if you are interested in performing research during the Fall Semester.

A group of Chemistry Department faculty members reviews interest forms submitted by students twice a year and generally will reply to students in January for the Spring semester and in June for the Fall semester. We will reply to all students who submit the form after this review to let them know what potential research options are available. Although we cannot guarantee every student who submits the form will be able to join a lab at that time, we are dedicated to finding appropriate research lab placements for students.

Please note that the Science Center administers a separate application for students interested in applying to do summer research. You can read more about the summer application process here. You can also learn about other research opportunities supported by the College, such as the First Year Apprentice Program, the Biochemistry Research Week, the Sophomore Early Research Program, and the McNair Scholars and Clare Booth Luce Scholars Programs.
