8.5-week Research program: Thursday, May 30 - Friday, July 26, 2024
Summer Research 2024 will run from May 30 - July 26.
The program will start at 9AM (Eastern) on Thursday, May 30 and end at 5PM (Eastern) on Friday, July 26. Please make your travel plans accordingly.
No. We are not offering a hybrid model this year. The program will be held on-campus, in person. Housing will be made available for students to stay on campus.
Students participating in the Summer Research Program are not required to live on campus. If you choose to live on campus, your housing costs will be covered by the program. If you choose to live off campus, you will be able to do so at your own expense (i.e. you will not receive a waiver). The resident hall for summer housing this year is to be determined.
Yes, you are required to participate in the meal plan this summer if you live on campus.

No. Summer research participation is a full-time commitment, and you will need to be available to work during hours that work for your entire research group. Therefore, you will need to commit (honor code) to participating only in summer research if you apply. This applies to courses offered at Wellesley or at other institutions. The exception is the Quantitative Analysis Institute Program.
No. Because summer research is a compensated program, you cannot take another job while doing summer research.
