Transfer of Credit Requests & Approval Online Tool
Accessible through MyWellesley >> Administrivia >> Transfer of Credit Requests & Approval - this application manages requests for transfer of credit. Students fill out forms, then the forms are assigned to the appropriate Academic Department for approval. Credit is posted for approved courses that were completed successfully with a grade of C or above once a copy of an official transcript has been received by the Registrar's Office.
Students are encouraged to get all courses approved via Transfer of Credit forms ahead of registering and payment. Follow the link to the detailed documentation for submitting a Transfer of Credit form.
Students must fill out a form for:
Any Brandeis / Babson course except Babson’s Intro to Financial Accounting, which is pre-approved for credit
Any MIT / Olin course which the student wishes to count towards a major / minor or distribution requirement (all Olin and MIT courses are pre-approved for credit only during Fall / Spring semesters)
Any course taken anywhere other than Wellesley during the Summer and Winter
Any course taken during Study Abroad
Do not fill out a form for:
AP/IB - please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like your AP/IB scores posted or updated
Online courses / distance learning - Wellesley College does not grant transfer credit for courses delivered online
Remote/distance learning and online courses are eligible for transfer for the Summer 2020 term only.
Multicultural Requirement - cannot be requested via this form. The Class Deans review requests submitted via a separate Google Form linked from their webpage.
Official transcripts may be sent to the Registrar's office in paper or e-transcript form.

For Faculty Responsible for Reviewing Transfer of Credit Requests
Typically Academic Department Chairs & Program Directors are responsible for evaluating Transfer of Credit requests. They may, however, choose another faculty member from their department to be the Transfer Credit Coordinator. Please let the Registrar's Office know if there is a change in the faculty responsible by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
