This SHIP is a Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plan and is managed through Student Financial Services (SFS) and University Health Plans (UHP).

    • PPO plans do not require you to have a Primary Care Physician (PCP) on file.
      • Additionally, these plans do not require a referral to see a specialist and you can seek care from providers out-of-network for a higher cost.
  • Do I have a co-pay?
    • This is not applicable to visits at Health Services.
      • However, a co-pay will be collected at specialist appointments which include but are not to physical therapy, mental health management, etc. Information regarding expected co-pay amounts can often be found on the front of your insurance card or on your insurance company's website or summary of benefits.
  • Do I have a deductible or co-insurance?
    • Please note that if you have a deductible or co-insurance that is unmet, you may recieve a bill for a portion of your appointment which includes but is not limited to blood work, urine samples, etc. It is important to be familiar with this information.
