The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL) hosted its annual 40 Days of Gratitude and Kindness from March 22 to April 30. They worked with campus partners, including the Office of Student Wellness, Stone Center Counseling Services, Residential Life, PERA, Slater International Center, Office of Intercultural Education, Latinx Student Advising, Acorns House, Harambee House, LGBTQ+ Programs and Services, College Government, Paulson Ecology of Place Initiative, the Botanistas, Wellesley Fresh, Wellesley College Alumnae Association, and the development office, to offer students in-person and virtual events such as sunrise yoga, a self-care market, loving kindness meditation, kindness cookies, and Friendship Fridays. The 40-day calendar also included tips like “call someone you haven’t talked to recently” and “write a note to someone who helped you become a better person.”

We asked members of the Wellesley community to share their reflections on the importance of gratitude and kindness. Here is what they had to say.
