Apple released El Capitan in Fall 2015.
At this time, most College applications that work in Yosemite (OS X v.10.10) should work in El Capitan (OS X v.10.11).
If you wish to upgrade your computer to El Capitan, please check Apple's website for more information. If you use highly specialized Academic software or have installed unique personal software, please verify with the vendor that it is compatible with El Capitan before upgrading, or contact LTS for assistance with this.
Before upgrading, we strongly recommend that you perform a backup of all your data.
