We spend many of our waking hours with our colleagues, and these relationships matter. Creating positive change at work by improving relationships can help engage employees and maintain a progressive culture. Developing relationships grounded in respect can make for a more humanistic work environment.

 

How to Change Habits: Personal and Professional 

Habits are the invisible architecture of everyday life. If you have habits that work for you, you are much more likely to be happy, healthy, productive and creative. But what if you want to improve? What if you want to form new habits? How would you go about it? This seminar will explore the science of how habits work and explore a practical framework that can be used to design good habits and eliminate bad ones.

 

Working Smarter (Not Harder): A New Approach to Time Management

We all wish we had one more hour in the day. While a day is, and always will be, 24 hours, there are ways to maximize those hours to create greater productivity. Learn to tap into more of the brain’s potential. This seminar takes a psycho-educational approach to improve focus, attend to details, minimize distractions, and have better quality of control. This seminar explores the three parts of sending a message, the three components of active listening, positive statements, persuasion, inserting safety into difficult conversations, and how to avoid avoidance.

When Gallup asked nearly 1.7 million employees worldwide “Do you feel that your strengths are in play every day at work?”, only 20% responded affirmatively. What if we make full use of people’s strengths? Come to this seminar to consider developing your strengths and become more satisfied, engaged, and more effective at work.

Embracing the New Normal

This seminar will focus on respectful communication: what we can do to create and perpetuate a respectful work environment. Research reveals that two-thirds of the U.S. population is made up of “extroverts” and one-third are “introverts”. What do these respective terms mean and what are the implications of these personality differences in the workplace? Come and explore the unique ways in which these two different “types” process information, respond to the world, learn, and communicate – all with an eye towards enhancing teamwork, best “fits”, and mutual appreciation within the workplace.

 

Emotional Intelligence 

Emotional Intelligence (EI) refers to skills that define how effectively we perceive, understand, reason with, and manage our own feelings and those of others.  Recent studies indicate that EI is a powerful key to effective leadership, enhanced communication, and greater collaboration in the workplace. Through interactive exercises, this workshop explores the foundations of emotional intelligence, and how you can enhance your EI to dramatically improve workplace relationships, job satisfaction, and job performance.

January 26th, 2021 - Leaning into Conflicts for Successful Outcome   

Conflict is normal, natural, and to be expected in the workplace. However, it can also curtail communications, tear at teams, and decrease productivity. In this seminar, participants, will examine common causes of conflict, discuss when to confront or not confront, and lean how to address aggression and prevent conflict with a variety of strategies and conversation starters.

This session will focus on the efficacy and etiquette of e-communications in order to improve the outcomes of e-exchanges.

December 4, 2019 - Grace Under Pressure: Stress Management on the Run
Everyone feels stress, every day! The typical adult has a stress reaction triggered more than 40 times per day. While we can‘t eliminate all the pressures we face, we can be better prepared for the triggers. This seminar provides practical, real solutions for the frenetic pace we set. Participants will ―test drive two stress management techniques, and will identify at least three personal strategies for increasing resiliency and responding more effectively to stressful situations.

November 17th, 2020 - Navigating Difficult Situations in the Workplace: Enhancing Your Interpersonal Skills

From time to time, we all must deal with people and situations that we find challenging. What we want to say and what we should say are often two different things. The challenge is to control our own response and utilize strategies that help diffuse and resolve the situation.
