Library and Technology Services Remote Instruction Support
LTS supports faculty and students teaching and learning remotely. While the vast majority of Wellesley courses are centered in the classroom, we are prepared to support remote instruction when a faculty member needs to teach a class from off campus, when a student is unable to participate in a classroom setting, or if a class is unable to meet in a physical location due to an urgent facilities or health and safety issue.
The following information will help faculty and students prepare for a remote teaching and learning scenario. If you need instructions for administrative Zoom use (meetings, business continuity, etc., please visit our Administrative Meetings page.
Most library resources and any academic applications are only available on campus or via VPN from off-campus. Be sure to install VPN and give it a test run ahead of time. VPN will not work from most on-campus locations. If you would like to test before leaving campus, you can test at the Help Desk. Here is a list of resources that require VPN.
Many library resources are already available online. We will make every effort to acquire or license necessary content not yet in electronic form. Electronic resources must be accessed through the links on the A-Z Databases and Libguides in order to assure authentication as a Wellesley user.

The College now has a Zoom license for all faculty, staff, and students to use for remote instruction and meetings. Zoom is an easy to use video and audio conferencing tool that works from computers, smartphones, and tablets.

International Participation in a Zoom Meeting via Phone
Zoom has local dial-in numbers for over 90 countries that can be used for calling into Zoom meetings if an internet connection is not available. If you or a participant in your meeting will need to connect via phone and not via a Zoom Meeting link (which only requires an internet connection), please use a local dial-in number for the best experience. Please note we do not have Toll Free numbers available at this time.
